Battle of Hayots Dzor composite

A composite of the Battle of Hayots Dzor, the legend in which the archer Hayk defeats the Babylonian tyrant Bel and founds the Armenian nation. Two mind maps set the characters, the setting in the shadow of Mount Ararat, the themes of freedom against tyranny, and a palette of red, midnight blue and gold. I built the scene in Photoshop from photographs of mountains, cliffs, a starry sky and battle scenes, with fog and cloud brushes for atmosphere.
