Sky Archive: NASA APOD app
A web app for exploring NASA’s daily astronomy pictures.
Sky Archive opens every picture NASA has published since June 16, 1995. Choose a date, slide through three decades of sky, or let a random date surprise you. Each control changes a live request to NASA’s APOD REST API, and a panel shows the request and what the API sent back. Built in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, it adds an eyepiece effect for looking closely at each picture and a row of pictures from around the chosen date.
